Ruby Benoit is a veteran marketing, event planning, and project management professional with over 17 years of experience with global brands in tourism, hospitality, sports, entertainment, fashion, and consumer packaged goods.  She has developed groundbreaking campaigns consisting of advertising, digital marketing, promotions, public relations, social media, special events, and video marketing.  She is particularly effective with translating conceptual business initiatives and ideas into actionable growth strategies and business campaigns that increase awareness and generate revenue.  She has the proven ability to solve complex problems and is particularly skilled in developing the right project management process and leading its implementation.

Prior to launching Divergent Group, Ruby served as the Vice President of Marketing Development for Newport Beach & Company where she handled a diverse portfolio of responsibilities in marketing the city of Newport Beach. She promoted Newport Beach as a premiere luxury conference and leisure destination with offices in Newport Beach, Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai, London, and Sydney. She was also the liaison between the marketing team and five business units, which included Visit Newport Beach Inc., Dine Newport Beach, Newport Beach TV, Celebrate Newport Beach and Enterprise Newport Beach. Previously, she worked with the LA Tourism & Convention Board, the International Paralympic Committee, the US Olympic Committee, Gage Marketing Group, Lawry’s Foods (Unilever), 20th Century Fox, and Saatchi & Saatchi.  Her global experience includes Australia, China, France, Greece, Italy, Middle East, South Africa, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

During her free time, Ruby loves to explore new craft beverages, cuisines, and destinations.  She is a member of various organizations, including the American Marketing Association, Brewers Association, California Craft Brewers Association, Conscious Capitalism San Diego, and San Diego Brewers Guild.
